Growing up in a musical, performance oriented family, Camiah has spent much of her life in entertainment. After studying rhythm and dance at Brigham Young University for a few years, she relocated to Georgia in 1996. Camiah has been teaching music in the Atlanta area for over 17 years. She has directed small orchestras, children’s choirs, church choirs, created holiday performances, and teaches private piano and private voice lessons as well. She has had the privilege to study with some of the world’s finest voice instructors and learn from their expertise. For two years she directed the award winning voice company at RISPA. Currently she teaches at The Performer’s Warehouse, a local performing arts school dedicated to preparing students for college auditions. Several of her private voice students have won scholarships and have been accepted to musical theater programs at Boston Conservatory, CCM, Webster, Alabama, NYU, Oklahoma and various other programs.
Camiah has also enjoyed music directing several productions in the Atlanta area including Les Miserables and Hairspray. Camiah has enjoyed roles in Oklahoma, Seussical the Musical, Aida, The Spirit of America Radio Show and Footloose, in which she played the role of Ethel McCormack”. Camiah was recently cast as the female lead in the southern tour of The Forgotten Carols and is looking forward to working with incredible cast members of this remarkable show.
